It can also be useful in the fabrication of form in place gaskets. A two-part manganese dioxide cured polysulfide compound PR1773 protects exposed surfaces from commonly found corrosive agents. PR1773 is semi-solid when standing and can be applied with a spatula or a gun. Curing at room temperature PR1773 creates reliable seals for common aircraft substrates.
